Limitations
Department of Art and Art History A-V equipment is not circulated to faculty from other University Departments.
Equipment checked out to faculty may not leave the campus except for teaching purposes and only when a “Removal of Equipment from University Campus” form is fully filled-out and signed by the Chair of the Department of Art and Art History. Obtain forms well in advance of need from VRC Circulation desk. A-V equipment cannot be reserved for personal use.
A-V Equipment in Lecture Rooms
Faculty who teach regularly in “smart classes”, ART lecture rooms 1.102, 1.110, 1.120, and DFA 2.204, and are using the computer, may check out a key for the computer console at the beginning of the semester from A-V Coordinator Foster Foreman, frf@mail.utexas.edu, or 471-4337.
If slide projectors are needed, the permanently installed equipment needs to be unlocked prior to the class by A-V Coordinator Foster Foreman, frf@mail.utexas.edu or 471-4337.
A-V Equipment in Seminar Rooms
For regularly scheduled classes in seminar rooms (ART 2.206, 3.432 and 3.433), the A-V Coordinator will unlock and set up the needed equipment (slide projector or computer) immediately prior to the class or other scheduled event.
At the beginning of each semester, it is necessary that the A-V Coordinator Foster Foreman, frf@mail.utexas.edu, or 471-4337, is notified about the needed routine set-up of computer or slide projectors.
If a class is canceled or is meeting at another location, it is the faculty member's responsibility to inform the A-V Coordinator so that the equipment will not be left unattended.
If an ART/ARH class meets or concludes after 5:00, contact Foster Foreman for special arrangements, frf@mail.utexas.edu or 471-4337.
