Judy provides administrative support to the graduate Studio Art, Design, and Art Education programs. She sends admissions information to prospective graduate students and maintains the academic files of applicants and accepted students. Judy notifies current students of deadlines, assists with registration matters, and answers their ongoing procedural questions. Working closely with the Graduate Advisors, Judy administers Teaching Assistant and Assistant Instructor appointments, coordinates records of individual instruction courses, maintains scholarship data, revises publications, assists with recruitment, and organizes new student orientations.
Judy relocated to Austin in 1999 following 18 years at Elmira College in upstate New York as Associate Dean of Graduate Studies. Judy received a B.A. in Mathematics, an M.S. Ed. in Mathematics Education and an M.S. Ed. in Psychology. Judy has over 30-years experience volunteering with the League of Women Voters. She asks, “Are you registered to vote?”
Prospective applicants wishing to visit with Judy about graduate programs in Art Education, Design, and Studio Art should arrange an appointment in advance of visiting the department. Please see Visiting the Department for detailed information.
