The Department of Art and Art History has 31 staff members and 87 faculty: 21 Professors, 27 Associate Professors, 10 Assistant Professors, 1 Senior Lecturer, 18 Lecturers, 10 Assistant Instructors. The Department has 17 Professor Emeriti.

The student-to-teacher ratio for the Department is 6 to 1. The ratios for each of the Divisions of the Department are as follows:

  • Art Education/Visual Art Studies – 14 to 1
  • Art History – 7 to 1
  • Design – 11 to 1
  • Studio Art – 8 to 1
