The metals studio is equipped for fabrication and smithing. A general purpose room is equipped with a vented soldering area, hydraulic press, box and pan brake, drill press, and well-quipped hand tool cabinets. The smithing/forming and casting room is equipped with a large inventory of hammers, stakes, and centrifugal and vacuum casting equipment. In addition, the shop has an area for blacksmithing and the following equipment: gravermeister, enameling facilities, rolling mill, Zero dry blast sandblasting unit (3-foot capacity), dumore drill press, disk and belt sanders, mini lathe, band saw, tumbler, draw bench, shear and polishing equipment. Graduate students are provided with their own studio space.
