The sculpture area has two large lab/classrooms, two installation rooms, a tech lab, and an outdoor working area that includes a metal casting facility. The lab/classrooms are divided into a metal shop facility that is fully equipped with a wide range of metal fabrication tools and a large multi-use space that accommodates student needs, modeling space, mold-making, plaster and wax working. The installation room is equipped with electrical outlets, heating, and air conditioning and is maintained to provide an area to accommodate a wide range of installations. The tech lab is for the storage and use of computer, video, and audio equipment. A sun/rain roof covers the metal casting facility. This area is open-walled and is serviced by an overhead bridge crane. The metal casting facility is specifically designed for the casting of bronze and aluminum. Five individual studios are available for graduate student use. Graduate students have 24-hour, seven-days-a-week access to these studios and the other sculpture facilities.
