Robert Dale Anderson is an artist, teacher, painter, drawer and printmaker. He received his M.F.A. from California State University Long Beach. He currently serves as the Director of Foundations and the Area Head of Printmaking. During the summer of 2007 he will be teaching drawing as part of our Learning Tuscany Program in Castiglion Fiorentino Italy. In the Fall of 2006 the Harry Ransom Center of the University of Texas at Austin accepted 13 historical examples of his assemblages and drawings as a gift from an early collector, Jeri Coates of Los Angeles. Recent drawings and paintings are jewel-like miniature imaginary landscapes of quiet light-filled scenes of debris and leftovers. Anderson has gallery representation in Austin at dberman gallery and in Dallas at Conduit Gallery. A one-person exhibition of new paintings entitled "The Land Remains" were shown at Conduit Gallery in Dallas in the spring of 2007.
