Associate Professor Adejumo received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts (Graphic Design) from the University of Benin, Nigeria in 1983. He studied at the University of Massachussetts, in Dartmouth, where he received an MFA degree in Visual Designs (Printmaking) in 1993. In 1997, he received a Ph.D. in Art Education from Ohio State University. His art work has been shown in solo exhibitions in Africa, Europe, and the United States. He has made contributions to art Education through several innovative programs (such as "Children of the Future" community art program) and research in the areas of Multiculturalism and Community Based Art Education. He has received many research and academic excellence awards in Nigeria and the United States, including GTECH (1992) (Dartmouth, Massachussetts) award for academic excellence; and the University of Benin (1983) "Student of the Year" award for academic excellence. His articles have been published in several newspapers and visual arts and research journals such as: Dialogue (1993), and The Journal of Research in African Literatures (Fall 1996)
