Public Tours
The museum offers themed tours on the collection and special exhibitions every Saturday and Sunday at 2 PM, every Thursday at 12:30 PM, Third Thursdays at 7 and 8 PM, and during B scene on the first Friday of every month.
B scene
Join us for the Blanton's monthly art party on the first Friday of each month (6 - 11PM) featuring live music by Austin bands, gallery tours, art-making activities, light snacks, and a cash bar featuring Blantinis. Cost is $5 for members/$10 for non-members. Tickets are available at the museum. Buy tickets online.
Bach Cantata Project
Take a little time out of your day to experience the joy of listening to beautiful music in the soaring space of the Blanton's atrium. The Bach Cantata Project is a joint venture of the UT School of Music Choral Program and the Blanton. Performances include a connection with an artwork in the museum's galleries. Expert Perspective
Gain more insight into our special exhibitions with these educational lectures led by experts from academia and other arts–related fields. These programs also include other thought-provoking events, such as special public tours and other lectures.
Hot Art Hip Kids
Hot Art Hip Kids, the Blanton's program for children (ages 6–12), is the perfect way for you and your kids to experience and learn about works of art together through hands–on activities and art projects.

Third Thursdays
A monthly themed event that features extended hours, light refreshments and wine (for purchase), and multiple programs, including Art Fix, short sessions on art and art-making, music, and lifestyle; Artistic License, where Blanton artists discuss their own work or comment on other works in the collection; *Yoga in the Galleries with instructor Olivia Silver (6:30PM); and the Blanton Book Club (7PM) , which makes connections between specific books and works of art in the collection or special exhibition.

Classes and Workshops
The Blanton's classes and workshops offer participants an in-depth look at a specific area of the permanent collection or a special exhibition. Some classes highlight current issues in art history, others encompass other areas such as literature. Ranging from a half day to six weeks, classes and workshops are taught by UT faculty, museum curators, and guest scholars and artists.
