Welcome! Here are a number of ways to park when visiting the Blanton.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to Freshmen Orientation this summer, scheduled for the dates below, the Brazos Garage may be busier than usual. Visitors may find additional parking in the Trinity Garage, just east of the museum on Trinity and MLK, or at street meters.

Garage parking
Paid parking is available in the Brazos Garage on Brazos Street and MLK, conveniently located one block east of the museum. For more information about the Brazos Garage and other university garages please visit the UT Visitor Parking page. Trinity Garage is three blocks from the museum on the corner of MLK and Trinity and is the closest UT Garage after Brazos.
Free parking is available for any stay under 30 minutes at the Brazos Garage.
Parking is available at the Brazos Garage to members and general admission visitors for $3 if you present your ticket and pay at the Blanton's Visitor Services Desk. PLEASE BE SURE TO BRING YOUR TICKET WITH YOU TO THE MUSEUM AND GET IT VALIDATED TO RECEIVE THIS RATE.
Nearby and street parking
The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum has an underground parking garage that is available for paid parking.
Parking on streets nearby the Blanton is free on evenings after 5:45 PM and weekends. (Parking is not free but is reduced at the Brazos Garage during those times.) There are many State of Texas employee lots that are free after 6 PM on the evenings and weekends.
Accessible parking
There are four handicapped parking spaces located close to the museum's front door on the north side of the building on Jester Circle. The Brazos Garage has a number of accessible parking spaces on each floor for disabled visitors. After parking, just follow the signs and sidewalk to the museum front door.
Bicycles
Cyclists are welcome to park at the museum. Bike racks are available on museum grounds. Don't forget to bring your own lock!
