Fine Arts Faculty Creative Research Grants

Fine Arts Faculty Creative Research Grants provide funding for well–defined research and creative activities of faculty in the College of Fine Arts for the purpose of advancing the mission of the University of Texas at Austin, the College of Fine Arts, and its programs.

A faculty member may only apply for one of the two types of research programs.

  • 2008 Creative Research Summer Stipends
The stipend is in the amount of $7,000 and is paid as salary over a three month period during the summer months (less withholding and deductions).
  • Creative Research Grant
This award is in the amount of $5,000, and may be budgeted over a maximum of a two–year period. The grant will be used to support faculty research and creative activities, including but not restricted to travel, materials and supplies, field research, and equipment. (Commonplace computing needs, which can be funded through other means, will routinely not be funded through this program.)
