An original comedy written and directed by Professor of Playwriting and Screenwriting, Steven Dietz, Becky's New Car tells the life'affirming story of an eccentric millionaire who offers Becky the keys to a brand new life. This romantic farce offers a fantastically funny exploration of class, wealth and selling out during Becky's wild ride though a clever twist of events. Huge laughs, hairpin plot turns and a story with the pedal to the metal is sure to delight Austin audiences and inspire them to live more fiercely.

Becky's New Car features the work of current student, faculty and alumni with assistant direction by Courtney Sale (M.F.A. in Directing candidate), costume design by Ariana Schwartz (M.F.A. in Theatrical Design, 2010), acting by Associate Professor Lucien Douglas and Sydney Andrews (M.F.A. Acting, 2010) acting in a leading role.
