Jason Tremblay (M.F.A. Playwriting '07) Debuts New Play in Chicago

"Katrina: The Girl Who Wanted Her Name Back" at Adventure Stage through May 21

Jason Tremblay's (M.F.A. Playwriting '07) new play "Katrina: The Girl Who Wanted Her Name Back" is currently running through May 21st at Adventure Stage in Chicago. The play has already received three major honors. It was one of only seven plays from around the world chosen to take part in the 2008 New Visions/New Voices theatre festival at the Kennedy Center. It received the 2008 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival New Play for Young Audiences Award. Finally, it was the recipient of an Access to Artistic Excellence Award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
