There are many: Working with guest director Chris Wells and M.F.A. Actors Blake Delong, Natalie Wheeler, and Anastasia Coon on my play, The Most Beautiful Lullaby You've Ever Heard; the collective experience of the 2005 New Works Festival; love conjure/blues; watching peers and colleagues push themselves/step it up/break open; my wonderful students in my own Playwriting I class; the collective talent and deep generosity of the M.F.A. Playwriting students.

Biography:

Since graduating from the University of Texas in May 2006, Romero's works have been produced off-off Broadway by City Attic Theatre, and Working Man's Clothes Productions, and across the country by The Cardboard Box Collaborative (Philadelphia) and Specific Gravity Ensemble (Louisville).

During that same time, his works have been produced in Austin by Salvage Vanguard Theater, and RedHouse Arts.

His electro-theatre collaboration with composer Mike Vernusky, RADIO GHOSTS, was commissioned by Austin Script Works and also performed as part of "Mi Casa Es Su Teatro" at FronteraFest 2007.

Romero's play, THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LULLABY YOU'VE EVER HEARD, won City Attic Theatre's Playwriting Competition, was a semi-finalist for the 2007 Princess Grace Award and opened off-off Broadway in May 2007.

He is a member of The Dramatists Guild of America, a Resident Artist with The Cardboard Box Collaborative and teaches at The University of the Arts.
