One major aspect is that of students and faculty working/learning together in creating outstanding theatre for all audiences.
Current projects/research/interests/hobbies:
Just completed, to be published in November by University of Texas Press, my eight anthology of children's theatre plays: Nine Plays by José Cruz González Magical Realism & Mature Themes in Theatre for Young Audiences.
Something about yourself that we wouldn't know from reading your professional biography:
After serving two years as Children's Theatre director at Midland (Texas) Community Theatre and having taught at the University of Illinois (Champaign/Urbana) I was honored to join the UT Department of Drama faculty in 1963.
