What you enjoy most about being a part of the UT Department of Theatre & Dance OR Describe your most memorable experience(s) while teaching in the Department:
The realization of a long time vision for the Dance Area with the inauguration of the first M.F.A. in Dance in the department; and the coordination and implementation of dancers traveling abroad to perform in the Tanzsommer International Dance Festival.
Favorite things about Austin:
You can be near “water” quite easily; and you can eat at a different restaurant almost everyday for a year before repeating.

The biggest risk you have taken to date (can be career-related or not):
Was to move away from New York City.
Something about yourself that we wouldn't know from reading your professional biography:
My other love besides dance is art. I love to draw. My medium is pointilism — the technique of representing the shadows and highlights of a picture using dots. My colors of choice are black and white. Technology is so sophisticated I am able to begin investigating the technique with the computer.
