Full Name:
Diego Larrea
Major/Year:
Theatre and Dance: BA / Senior (4th year)
Favorite class in Theatre & Dance and why:
My current favorite would have to be Acting for the Camera because it is definitely a challenge and I feel like I’m working on a new skill. But, of all time, I would have to say Acting Shakespeare because it taught me the most about acting and myself as an actor.
Favorite thing about Austin:
The People are great. And, there is always something to do.
Favorite place to study:
I don’t really study…but when I have to sit down and ‘do something’ my favorite place to do that would be on my couch in front of my TV.
Brief biography (including projects, awards, accomplishments):
- Presidential Unendowed Scholarship
- I directed ‘Corona’ by Andy Harold during the ’07 University Co-op presents the Cohen New Works Festival
- I got Second place in a Youth Series Triathlon in July ‘07
Current projects/research/interests:
I am currently directing a new work by Abhinav Kumar titled ‘Welcome to Hell.’ I’m very interested in Directing and Writing. I am working on a new play, which combines the elements of action in film and the excitement of musicals to hit the stage some time in the Spring ’08 semester.
