EARS, EYES, AND FEET
Collaborations between Dance, Electro-Acoustic Music, and Digital Media.

The name Ears, Eyes & Feet gives us only an idea of what we might experience in this exciting and experimental annual collaboration between the UT Austin Department of Theatre and Dance and School of Music. Advanced choreographers, graduate student musicians, dancers, digital media artists, and computer animators collaborate together to find new ways of perceiving art in EARS, EYES, AND FEET.

With a goal of exploring the creative potential of collaboration, this concert brings faculty, students, and professional guests to the stage for an evening of original music, digital animation, and animated physicality.

In recent years, this show has produced animated visualizations of original music compositions, combining wearable computer technology, improvisational music, and dance in the spirit of chance procedures, non-verbal communication, and the mysteries of spontaneous composition.

Ears, Eyes, and Feet takes place annually in the late spring. See the departmental event calendar for specific dates, times and location.
