GENERAL AUDITIONS for Spring 2010 Mainstage Productions

How:

Please sign up for a slot on the callboard outside of WIN 1.148 beginning Monday October 12.

What to prepare:

  • A memorized one-minute contemporary monologue
  • If you wish to be considered for The Difficulty of Crossing a Field, you must prepare two brief vocal excerpts from the show (one solo selection and one chorus selection). Music is available outside Lyn Koenning's office door ( WIN 2.156). No music other than these excerpts will be heard at the auditions. Recordings of Difficulty are not commercially available.
  • 6 copies of your headshot or recent photo and resume (photos will not be returned)
  • 6 copies of the audition form (pdf - download adobe reader)
  • Please also bring your Spring 2010 schedule/conflicts with you to the audition

 

Callbacks will take place on Sunday, October 25. Specific callback lists and times will be posted on the callboard outside of WIN 1.148

Only currently enrolled UT Theatre and Dance Majors may audition for the Department of Theatre and Dance mainstage productions.

Auditions for mainstage productions typically take place in the middle of the semester before the production is to be produced. For example, auditions for all shows scheduled for the Spring 2010 will take place in or around October 2009.
