The Winship Computer Lab is both a computer lab and classroom. The lab is set up to meet the needs of design and technical students and includes all applications needed for class work and productions. Our computer lab includes the following:

  • 21 computers: 10 G5 Macs, 10 iMacs in a dual–boot Mac/Win configuration with one Mac station having limited access for Design/Technical students. The dual–boot stations use OSX 10.5 and Windows XP Professional, the G5 Macs use OSX 10.4.
  • Programs: Lightwright/Beamwright, AutoCAD, VectorWorks and Creative Suite 2 (technical design); Final Draft (playwriting); 3D Studio Max, Poser and Body Studio (choreography); Final Cut Pro and iLife (video capture and editing)
  • A large format photo inkjet printer
  • 13x19 flatbed scanner
  • 8–1/2 x 11 flatbed scanners
  • Slide/negative scanner
  • Layout space to plan projects
  • All computers have CD and DVD burners.
  • 11x17 black and white laser printer (BevoBucks, $.11/page)
  • Mac and Windows instructor's stations connected to a projector for class instruction.
