Kristen Hotopp joined the UT Department of Theatre and Dance in August 2006 and currently serves as the department's Undergraduate Academic Advisor. Prior to coming to Theatre and Dance she worked for the College of Liberal Arts Student Division where she received a 2006 "Outstanding Program" award from NACADA (National Academic Advising Association).
Kristen is pretty close to being a native Texan, having lived in Austin most of her life. She graduated from UT Austin with a BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) in 1998 and worked as a licensed social worker for Austin area schools and non-profits before coming to UT Austin in 2002 to serve as an Academic Advisor. Kristen is an avid cyclist who loves her family and 3 dogs and enjoys the outdoors, travel and friends.
