The University of Texas at Austin Department of Theatre and Dance invites alumni, ex–students and friends to join us on June 4th in New York for our annual reunion. A reception will be held at Havana Central at the West End from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. This gathering is a great opportunity to connect with new and old friends and learn about current Department of Theatre and Dance news and activities.

National College Dance Festival Gala Concert

Alumni, ex–students and friends are invited to attend the National College Dance Festival's Gala Concert on June 4th. Our student dance company, Dance Repertory Theatre (DRT) will perform Professor Holly Williams' Futari Tomo (Two Together) at this prestigious festival. Futari Tomo (Two Together) received critical acclaim at the American College Dance Festival–South Central Regional Conference in March and is one of four South Central Regional works invited for performance at the National Festival in New York. Performed to original Japanese Taiko drum music composed and performed live, Futari Tomo (Two Together) showcases the artistic excellence of Dance Repertory Theatre.

The Department of Theatre and Dance has a limited number of complimentary tickets available for alumni and ex–students. If you would like to attend the June 4th Gala Concert, please contact Cassie Gholston at 512–232–5301. Tickets are available first come, first served.

UCLA's Design Showcase West

Alumni, ex–students and friends are invited to attend UCLA's Design Showcase West on Saturday, June 7th. Hosted by UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television (TFT), Design Showcase West is a west coast–based design portfolio exhibit and review that features the work of students from the top graduate design programs in the country. The Showcase provides a great opportunity for employers to connect with the next generation of designers. Several of our UT graduate students will be displaying their work at this prestigious event.

Opening Night Receptions

The Department of Theatre and Dance invites all area alumni to join us for a series of post–show receptions, following the Opening Night performance of each production throughout mainstage seasons. Guests will be able to mingle with the cast, crew, and director of each show while satisfying their sweet tooth with light desserts.
