Evonne Griffin

Evonne Griffin has designed sets for The Yale Repertory Theater production of Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare and Yale School of Drama productions of The Skin of Our Teeth by Thornton Wilder, A Splash of Nutmeg in Milk by Sarah Fornia and Bridesburg by Victor Kaufold. Yale Cabaret credit includes the set for A bang.

Evonne has received her Masters of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) from the Yale School of Drama and is graduate of The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California in Environmental Design/Entertainment Design. She also received a Certificate of Interior Design from UCLAextension.

She was the co-founder/designer of a manufacturing company of a contemporary clothing line in the Los Angeles garment district. Her achievements include being a winner in the annual Exhibit Group/Giltspur International Design Competition in Spring 2000. Evonne was the recipient of the Donald M. Oenslager Scholarship award in Stage Design for 3 consecutive years while at Yale. Evonne is currently living in Austin and teaching Scene Design at The University of Texas at Austin.
