Maia joined the Department of Theatre and Dance in July 2007. She works as the assistant to the Chair and helps to coordinate guest artist and faculty recruitment visits.
A native Texan, Maia has lived in California and New York and is glad to be back in Austin. She recently graduated from New School University (New York, NY) with a degree in Writing and Dance. Her choreography has been performed at the Ailey Citigroup Theater and the American College Dance Festival. In her spare moments, she enjoys reading, savoring a good cup of coffee, taking modern dance classes, and watching silent film.
