Synopsis: In 410 [GONE], a sister journeys to the Chinese Land of the Dead to search for her missing brother, encountering a frenetic, arcade landscape where the Goddess of Mercy and the Monkey King reign, and Dance Dance Revolution is the secret to unforgetting.
Playwright: Frances Ya–Chu Cowhig
Frances Ya–Chu Cowhig is a graduate of the International School of Beijing, Brown University, and the Dell'Arte School of Physical Theatre. She was raised in Northern Virginia, Okinawa, Taiwan, and China, and now resides in East Austin.
Charlie Otte has worked around the country in theatre, opera, and film. Some of his New York productions include Flood by Guntar Grass, Moliere's Imaginary Invalid, Brecht's Baal, Mikhail Bulgokov's Bliss, as well as Songs From Liquid Days and La Belle et La Bete by Philip Glass. Additional New York productions include The Cuchulain Cycle (based on the writings by W.B. Yeates), the multi–media production This is a Test, and restaging The Civil Wars and Einstein on the Beach for Robert Wilson. In Los Angeles, work includes James Joyce's The Dead, Travesties by Tom Stoppard, Bulgakov's Flight, Brecht's Threepenny Opera, Gozzi's King Stag, David Rabe's Goose and Tomtom, and new plays by Bradley Smith, Steven Haworth, Rick Pagano, and John Bishop. Screenwriting and film directing credits include Blind Faith, Beer Nuts, A&E Biography, Sindbad, Mission Invisible and the media displays in the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library in Illinois and The Spirit of Texasat the Texas State History Museum in Austin.
