WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
All Department of Theatre and Dance faculty, staff, TAs, AIs, and production Cast and Crew
HOW MANY TICKETS CAN I REQUEST?
Up to two complimentary tickets during the run of the production
WHEN CAN I REQUEST COMP TICKETS?
Beginning two weeks before each production up until 5:00 PM the day before the performance. All weekday requests must be received at least one full day before the performance (i.e., 5:00 p.m. Monday for a Tuesday performance). As there is no one processing requests during the weekends, requests for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday performances must be received by 5:00 p.m. the prior Thursday.
HOW DO I REQUEST COMP TICKETS?
Complimentary tickets requests must be made via email at UT.Production.Assistant@austin.utexas.edu.
To request tickets, please use subject line "Comp Request". In the body of the email, include your name, number of tickets and performance date and time.
If you have an alternate performance date that would be acceptable, please so indicate.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
The department will make every effort to accommodate all ticket requests; however, comp tickets are issued on a "first come, first served" basis. Requests can be made up to two weeks in advance, and will be filled in the order in which they are received. An email response will be sent confirming or declining your request, usually within 24 hours.
You may pick up your complimentary tickets at the Department of Theatre and Dance Box Office on the date of the show. The Box Office opens one hour prior to curtain. Comp tickets will be issued in your name. Please collect your tickets at least fifteen minutes prior to curtain. At fifteen minutes prior to curtain, any unclaimed comp tickets will be released for general sale.
Due to limited space available within this particular theatre, there are a limited number of complimentary tickets issued per show. We will do our best to honor your ticket request, but comp ticket availability cannot be guaranteed. Again, request early.
Once the comp ticket limit has been reached, it may be possible to see the show by going to the Winship Box Office just prior to the show and waiting for any released tickets. Faculty or staff members should be prepared to show their identification to the box office personnel. TAs and IAs must show their Major's Pass to receive released tickets. (Non-teaching graduate students and department undergrads may also receive one complimentary ticket at the box office using their Major's Pass.)
