The Department hosts residential dance and theatre summer programs from June through the beginning of August.
The American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive and US Performing Arts Camp are well established programs for middle school and high school aged students in ballet and theatre, respectively.

Outreach and Community Engagement
Our Drama and Theatre for Youth faculty and students design and propel the Department's outreach activities.
Discover Imagine Safer Schools and the strategies we use in Victoria, Texas to help the community prevent gang violence through dramatic learning. Our outreach programs make an impact within Austin and the greater Texas communities while also generating scholarly research that contributes greatly to the field of theatre for young people.
